Notable Features: A California Mission-style design combines classical and modern elements to complement a 1925 Spanish Revival home. Several species are endemic to the Channel Islands, including Santa Cruz Island ironwood and Santa Cruz Island buckwheat. Flowering shrubs and perennials—including toyon, ceanothus, globemallow, and saffron buckwheat—brighten the entry courtyard. Repurposed concrete forms garden seating and a raised bed for the kitchen garden. Infiltration pits and a permeable drive and walkway retain water onsite.
