Notable Features: Sustainability and a modernist sensibility mingle in this landscape designed for a newly constructed home that received the 2018 AIA/LA Residential Architecture Merit Award. In the front, masses of Blond Ambition blue grama grass capture the afternoon light and a hedge of Leatherleaf coffeeberry adds evergreen structure. In back, a sunken garden and meadow of sand dune sedge are dotted with manzanita and surrounded by Elizabeth bush anemone, California buckeye, desert marigold, and Margarita BOP foothill penstemon.
