Notable Features: Santa Cruz Island ironwoods and creeping Oregon grape fill the parkway of this corner lot. The front is planted with shrubby ashy-leaf buckwheat and red fairy duster, with spring color from California poppy and elegant clarkia. The back features a vignette of stone fountain and sculptural accents against a garden wall, with contrasting foliage from ashy-leafed buckwheat and bright green coyote brush. Birds in the aviary add layers to the garden’s soundscape.
